Today's society is intertwined with the digital world and developments in this area follow each other faster and faster. Especially in times like these, with a pandemic on a large scale, its role has strengthened. Society appears to be dependent on digital capabilities and is influenced by the digital system.
It is of great importance that the Dutch government becomes more and more serious about the developments within digital technologies and their consequences for society. Issues regarding, for example, security, privacy, other current ethical dilemmas and the future of information technologies such as artificial intelligence should be better mapped. By becoming more aware of digital developments, we can shape the current and future consequences of digitization in our own way.”

Information and communication are the most valuable assets of humankind. They are the basis on which every human reacts to its environment. The Graphic Designer is part of the distribution system of information but so are you! Communtication should always be a flow between the transmitter and the receiver. That's why it's important to keep both ends involved in a design. This involvement asks for awareness of the effects of your communication and in time those changes you triggered require reactions.
Therefore the most important notion is that a design once started, will probably never be finished unless the communication stops.

This prototype of a mobile application is designed to be a solution to the impact of the online world on our social lives. People often assume that the ability of being online 24/7 makes our lives richer. While it has many advantages, it also has it’s drawbacks. This prototype is designed to give us back the moments that we otherwise spill on being online.
