This project is a social partipation design to stimulate an open conversation about the social effects of the shrinking bubble due to the COVID Affair. Keeping distance and yet staying connected was one of the challenges presented to us this year. To share these experiences with one another we can learn how to cope with this.

Small Talk is a prototype for a mobile application which is designesd to bring people together in the moments in life in which we are unnecessarily without company. Fimiliar to these moments when we are filling our time by checking in into the online world while someone is standing next to you who could be far more interesting? Small Talk is designed to let you find you someone in the neighbourhood that is also willing to fill these moments together. In a playfull way users get to meet people who they normally wouldn’t talk to. The prototype is accompanied with conversation starters and a way out, for whenever the small talk is not within your taste.
